EBR shutdown on 1 April 2026
We would like to inform you that the European Business Register (EBR) has been permanently unavailable since 1 April 2026.
New type of register
Since 1 January 2024, the Corporation Register (GsR), in which information on registered civil law partnerships (eGbR) is recorded, is also accessible via the Company Register. You can retrieve the corresponding entries and register documents as soon as and insofar as entries have been made there using the familiar search procedures in the Company Register.
Beware of unfair providers
The Federal Gazette publishing house warns of offers and notifications regarding register entries for companies in the Company Register and in association with publications in the Federal Gazette.
If you receive payment requests for retrievals of company data via the Business Register Interconnection System (BRIS), the sender of which is (supposedly) the European Commission or the European Justice Portal, this is a case of fraud.
Further information and a current list of providers of these ‘services’ that are known to us at this time can be found in the Federal Gazette (Bundesanzeiger) under „How it works – Data and statistics“.
To prevent tampering with invoices and ensure the highest possible level of protection against forgery, Bundesanzeiger Verlag sends invoices exclusively as text-based PDF files (not image-only PDFs; text can be highlighted, copied and searched) and uses SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) as email authentication methods. Please always check the PDF files carefully in emails you receive on behalf of Bundesanzeiger Verlag, paying particular attention to the bank details and the sender’s email address, and contact our customer service team if you notice any discrepancies.
