General Security Advice

To protect the user of the internet offerings of the Federal Gazette, the Company Register and the Publication Platform from potential security risks, the Federal Gazette Publisher uses the most up-to-date security and encryption technology, so that confidential data is protected from unauthorised access during online transmissions and cannot be viewed by unauthorised persons.

Potential dangers on the internet today are:

  • Viruses and Worms
Programmes that spread on their own or are sent by e-mail and can cause damages to your system.
  • Trojans
Programmes that are disguised as useful, but run in the background unnoticed by the user and may have functions that threaten security (e.g. retrieving passwords).
  • Phishing
apparently serious e-mails or internet addresses designed to get the user to giving out user data and passwords.
  • Hacker Attacks
Unauthorised persons gain access to your computer system over the internet.
  • Man-in-the-Middle Attacks
Unauthorised persons between communication partners and have complete control over the transmission of data. Information can be viewed and manipulated at will.

For the electronic transmission of orders, a series of security measures were made on the part of the Federal Gazette publisher. So that the measures function efficiently, the user should make sure that their system is protected (e.g. by anti-virus programs, firewall) so that unauthorised access to the user's data is prevented.
